Between history and nature

To mark the beginning of the new millennium, the municipalities of Sessa and Monteggio wanted to create together a new pathway aimed at highlighting historical testimonies and natural environments, proposing as many reflections on the relationship between water and man in the past and present. The trail runs along a strip of land straddling the Pevereggia stream.

Nature and history offer hints and traces, ancient and recent, all to be discovered in this corner of Malcantone. Water is reconsidered in the double sense of ‘thought of again’ and ‘thought of anew’, because knowledge and awareness of the past and its relationship to the present enable a future that has already begun to be approached constructively.
